The 2016 Quality Summit, "Surviving and Thriving Through Industry Transformation,” scheduled for September 29-30, 2016, will help global OEMs, all tier suppliers, and service providers adapt their systems and prepare their personnel to not only survive but also thrive and excel during the transformation of the automotive industry.

What’s causing this transformation? Much is due to disruptive product technologies and related challenges such as:

  • Adaptive driving systems enabling the autonomous vehicle
  • Attaining critical mass among OEMs and suppliers to make the shift from 2D drawings to a 3D model-based enterprise
  • Adapting to heightened regulatory requirements
  • The revision of the industry's quality management system standard

These technologies and other market conditions are putting the automotive industry in a tidal wave of transformative forces. The 2016 Quality Summit agenda positions OEMs, suppliers, and service providers to face these challenges successfully.

Register today – the Quality Summit is coming up soon on September 29-30, 2016 at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan.

Atendees will have the opportunity to pre-order the new IATF 16949 Standard.

AGENDA HIGHLIGHTS

The Quality track focuses on the roll-out of the revisions to the QMS requirements, including sessions with IATF members who will explain:

  • New requirements in IATF 16949 (formerly ISO/TS16949) and the rationale for the changes
  • Updated certification rules
  • Transition timing

The Product Development track will provide information to support transition to a 3D model-based enterprise in the automotive industry. Five different sessions will be given by members of AIAG’s MBE project team on:
