Our 2019 Quality Summit is fast approaching -- don't miss out on early bird pricing through August 8, 2019! With just a few months left until the October 2-3 event, we’re excited to share some additional details about our fantastic speaker lineup.

The summit will kick off with industry keynote speaker Martin Ranäng, senior vice president, supplier quality & development of Volvo Truck Group’s Purchasing group. Martin will provide insights on maintaining quality performance while implementing new, innovative product technologies and energizing an atmosphere of quality throughout a global organization.

The first day of the event will also feature Steven Domalik from Acme Alliance, LLC, who will discuss his organization’s use of lean principles to shift their training records to evidence of employee competency.  Steven’s presentation will demonstrate how Acme Alliance developed an Excel based system to monitor competency and skillsets that help identify competency gaps. At the session’s conclusion, attendees will understand how to quickly and efficiently develop a system to identify an employee’s strengths and weaknesses while documenting their competency.

Simultaneous to Steven Domalik’s presentation, Joe Chronley from Reyes Automotive Group of San Antonio, TX will share his insights on “Establishing & Sustaining Systems that Consistently Achieve Quality Expectations.” Joe will review the steps taken by Reyes – which was recently recognized by Toyota Motor North America as a leading supplier in quality improvement – to train and empower their workforce and will explain how that investment in their workforce affected their performance.

Rounding out the first day’s agenda, Angela Morrill and Casandra Bouwhuis of DISHER will share their presentation, “Auditors are Friends Not Foes…A Guide to Auditing Without Becoming a Shark!” In this session, Angela and Casandra will explore why audits are necessary and outline what organizations should expect to gain from audits, including a review of best practices of QMS, Process and Product audits. They will also present eight auditing tips for being “a friend” while auditing – without losing the intention for completing the audit – before concluding with a review of four case studies.

Finally, after receiving a tremendous amount of positive feedback on our 2018 Quality Summit’s closing keynote speaker, Vince Poscente, we are looking forward to another exciting keynote presentation. This year, AIAG decided to “go big” with the keynote speaker – 7ft4 big! – by inviting Mark Eaton to be the closing keynote speaker at the summit. Mark, an NBA All-Star and league record holder, is also a motivational speaker, author and teamwork expert, and we look forward to his insights on team building and performance improvement.

Stay tuned for even more details on additional speakers and sessions at this year’s Quality Summit, or head to our event page today and take advantage of early bird registration through August 8th!
