Following the 2019 release of our Core Tools Support™ (CTS) software, our team has been continually working to make improvements based on users’ experiences and insights in order to provide a more effective and powerful application for managing APQP and PPAP.
Some of the software’s new features include:
- AIAG & VDA FMEA Handbook forms: The CTS software launched with AIAG’s FMEA 4th Edition base DFMEA and PFMEA forms, but now DFMEA Form A and PFMEA Forms C, E and G are available in CTS. (PFMEA Form G is the FCA Customer Specific Requirement.) Switching between forms is as easy as selecting the form from the dropdown menu in your “CTS View.” Document content still needs to be entered by the user, but once the data is entered you can toggle between forms without losing any of your data.
- An actions tracker, which allows the user to ensure AIAG & VDA FMEA Optimization step and/or AIAG 4th Edition Recommended Actions – both from the “right hand side of the FMEA” – are tracked and completed.
- Added functionality to “Copy Part” and “Copy Projects” actions that allow the user to target the information being duplicated when copying an existing part or project to create a new item.
- Merging of common/duplicate data in columns, which creates cleaner looking FMEA reports.
