CR Speaker Series: Perspectives on ESG

benchmarking info on green background - blog

Institutional customer demand for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) information is rippling through entire supply chains, impacting publicly traded as well as privately held suppliers. The most influential requests are coming from organizations that directly participate in financial markets. These can include large asset owners (CalPERS, NY State), asset managers (BlackRock, State Street, Neuberger Berman), and specialized ESG research firms (Bloomberg, MSCI, Sustainalytics).

In a poll taken at a recent event, 60 percent of attendees indicated they wanted to hear from an asset owner/investor to learn how they use ESG information. In response, AIAG’s September 25th Speaker Series features an in-person panel discussion with members of the investment community. The panel will share initial research findings on investor perspectives of ESG ratings, as well as approaches asset managers/investors take to evaluate ESG information that will inform their investment decisions.

Moderator: Jessica Urdangarin, principal consultant, BrownFlynn, an ERM Group company
