Looking for a practical way to identify Core Tools knowledge gaps and track progress over time? Our Core Tools Self-Assessment (CTSA) helps professionals and their organizations assess current knowledge and focus improvement efforts where they matter most.

Re-released in mid-2024 following the APQP 3rd Edition and standalone Control Plan launch, this free online self-assessment includes clearly defined sections for each Core Tool (i.e., APQP, Control Plan, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC), with precise, targeted questions for testing foundational competency.

Available in ten languages — English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Russian, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, and French — the CTSA can be taken at any time, up to 30 days after registration. Self-assessment takers can also earn knowledge badges for scoring at least 80% in any Core Tool area (silver badges) and scoring at least 80% across all areas (a gold badge). Be sure to log in to your Account area to check your most recent CTSA results and high scores as you track your progress.
