What makes AIAG’s Customs Town Hall unique? Those who have attended in the past will tell you it’s all about the people – and we absolutely agree. From sponsors and exhibitors, to speakers and attendees, this event is a fantastic opportunity to network with peers while learning the latest updates from customs compliance experts and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Kicking off the event, our opening keynote speaker – Brenda Smith, executive assistant commissioner for the Office of Trade at U.S. Customs and Border Protection – will share updates straight from the CBP, and at the end of the day, Crane Worldwide Logistics’ vice president, Pete Mento, will provide our closing keynote presentation.
In addition to Brenda and Pete’s discussions, we’ll also hear from subject matter experts on topics like autonomous vehicles, CTPAT, Drawback (TFTEA), and much more – along with a session led by Cisco Systems’ Stacy Diève and Livingston’s Ed Dougherty, which will breakdown where we stand with tariff actions, including 301, 232, GSP and the Miscellaneous Tariff Bill.
Want to make sure you’re getting the most information and support for your money? This year AIAG is also offering three optional ACE Reporting (import and export) courses the day after the event, on November 8th. Held at AIAG headquarters in Southfield, Michigan (just down the street from the event venue, The Mint!) these trainings are FREE for those who have registered for the Customs Town Hall, and include a basic import, basic export, and advanced import/export workshop.
Event attendees will also benefit from the CCS/CES credits that available this year for attending the town hall.
Ready to learn more, and reserve your spot? Exhibitor and Sponsorship opportunities are also still available, so be sure to head to our event page today, and we’ll look forward to seeing you this November!
