Make Your Voice Heard on Keeping All of Your Contractors Safe

be part of it chalkboard - blog

With contractors typically engaged in high-risk, non-standard work — the kind that causes roughly 40-60 percent of serious workplace injuries and fatalities — contractor safety is a vital element of any organization’s health and safety (H&S) program.

AIAG’s Contractor Safety Management Framework outlines common processes for effectively managing contractors in construction environments and provides information and support for organizations throughout the supply chain by referencing programs, examples, training, and industry best practices from a range of AIAG member companies.

Now, our mission is to expand the scope of the document to include environmental and service providers. To accurately serve all layers of the supply chain, we need volunteers from both suppliers and OEMs.

Volunteering on an AIAG committee or work group gives your company a seat at the table and an influential voice in the discussion. This is your opportunity to represent your company as we enhance this important document to include a broader scope of contractors working at your side.

If you are interested in participating on this committee, please email Lecedra Welch at cr@aiag.org.
