2019 is just around the corner – and with it, the sixth annual WSU/AIAG Auto Industry Certificate in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management!
This non-degree certification program was designed for high potential candidates from a variety of automotive industry OEM, Tier 1 and 2, 3PL, service and carrier organizations, and is now a mainstay of continuing professional education in the Supply Chain career space. Comprised of both academics and industry professionals, faculty lead a mix of classroom discussions and lectures, a company-related project and presentation, case studies, tours, internet sessions and interactive simulations.
In addition to exploring new manufacturing and logistics technologies, participants learn about a broad range of automotive industry-oriented supply chain management (SCM) topics: SCM strategy, SCM finance, forecasting, negotiations, procurement strategy, supplier development, risk management, production operations, quality management processes and Six Sigma, international trade and customs management and logistics and transportation.
In its entirety, the program consists of 23 classroom sessions held over the course of a year, with separate winter and fall terms. Sessions are held at AIAG headquarters in Southfield on Thursday afternoons/evenings from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m., with break weeks throughout the year to allow for travel, personal time, etc. See the program schedule below for a full listing of class dates and topics or review our 2019 program brochure!
