This five-day seminar style course – offered by AIAG in conjunction with Wayne State University (WSU) – kicks off on December 1, 2021, at the WSU Mike Ilitch School of Business in Detroit, Michigan.

Using a variety of methods, including hands-on exercises, this course covers the core concepts related to managing lean organizations and implementing Six Sigma – including lean principles, process capability, value stream mapping, process improvement, and Six Sigma implementation. Guest lecturers also support the learning process by sharing their unique, industry-based experiences with Lean and Six Sigma tools and concepts.

After completing this one-week course, attendees should understand the tools used to drive process improvement, how to use Excel for basic analysis, the fundamental strengths and weaknesses of Six Sigma, and how successful companies make Lean Six Sigma an important part of their competitive strategy, among other key objectives.
