AIAG's third Packaging Technical Networking Session, scheduled for Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the AIAG headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, will bring together automotive, container, packaging, and supply chain technology experts from OEMs, suppliers, and service providers to learn about the latest trends and initiatives.
This complimentary event, which runs from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, also offers sponsorship and exhibiting opportunities to companies wishing for more visibility to this industry segment.
The event will be a mix of expert-led lectures and open-forum discussion, focusing on visibility, tracking, and standardization as well as ways to overcome other obstacles regarding returnable containers and packaging. Attendance also provides access to the Exhibit Hall and the opportunity to network with an outstanding group of automotive experts.
Speakers include Steven Hanson, Nissan program launch manager, Minth Group, who will speak on “RFID: Active vs. Passive.”
Ken Comben, packaging engineering manager, CHEP Automotive and Industrial Solutions, will give a talk on “The Benefits of Collaborating with an Assets Management Partner.” Comben says he will discuss some of the challenges and unforeseen costs impacting OEMs and suppliers who manage their own packaging assets, including the benefits of collaborating with an asset management partner to address these challenges. The presentation will also include a look at why technology alone will not fix all issues related to the management of returnable packaging.
A Transportation Labeling Compliance & Standards presentation will be followed by an open forum and networking lunch.
Register today for the opportunity to learn more about packaging issues and meet others who are addressing the same challenges and may have the solution you need.
