In response to subscriber requests, AIAG has added two new features to our CTS Software!

The first of these new additions allows users to add Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols in CTS. As shown below, a popup window provides the various GD&T symbols that can be entered into Product Characteristics and Process Characteristics fields, as well as other areas of the control plan and FMEA. Of the 21 available GD&T symbols, users can view seven at a time, and can access the remaining symbols by clicking the left or right arrows in the popup window.

Did you know that the U.S. Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA) offers free resources like their Telework tips and security considerations to help you and your colleagues establish a safe work from home environment? While these tools are always valuable for organizations throughout the supply chain, they're particularly useful in our current climate of increased cyber risk as many professionals continue to work remotely.

In late spring of this year, automakers in the United States began ramping up production after a nearly two-month shutdown to contain COVID-19. By then, the virus had sickened millions and killed thousands of Americans and forced businesses across the traumatized nation to close.

In October 2020, AIAG will add a ‘Read Only’ user access level to its CTS Software user profile settings. A Read Only user will be able to view – but not create or edit – CTS content.

Despite the precariousness that has defined the majority of 2020 thus far, the aerospace and automotive industries have not let that uncertainty deter them from releasing two major revisions that directly affect the heat-treating industry. Both, the 4^th Edition of CQI-9 and AMS2750F were released at the end of June (AMS2750F: Expert Analysis).

As the industry continues to work toward a full recovery, AIAG has been diligently working to add online, Live Virtual Trainings to meet the needs of the automotive industry. One of these offerings, the AIAG IATF 16949:2016 Supplier Audit Certificate – Renewal, is now available as an online proctored exam.

The long-awaited 3^rd edition of the CQI-12 Special Process: Coating System Assessment (CSA) is now available! This new edition supersedes the 2^nd edition assessment which has been active since February 2012.
