We’ve Updated our Most Popular Assessment Resource – the Core Tools Self-Assessment (CTSA)!

update bubble - blog

Initially launched in 2012, the Core Tools Self-Assessment (CTSA) allows professionals to test their knowledge in the Quality Core Tools (i.e., APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC) and identify areas for improvement or additional training.

Nearly a decade later, this complimentary exam is now the basis for our new Quality Core Tools Knowledge Badge,* and has been revised to reflect the AIAG & VDA FMEA Handbook methodology – an update that went live on October 1, 2021. In the wake of this update, the majority of the FMEA questions remain focused on general FMEA methodology and techniques, but all 4th edition-specific content has been replaced with questions focused on the AIAG & VDA FMEA Handbook, instead.

Click here to view CTSA details at the AIAG Store and take the self-assessment today! (Please note that updates for the French, German, Korean and Russian translations are still being finalized, and will be available by November 1, 2021.)

*Not familiar with our Quality Core Tools Knowledge Badge? Earning the badge is easy: Take the free CTSA to get your baseline scores in APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC. Then take the associated Core Tools eLearning to increase your knowledge before retaking the self-assessment. Once you’ve scored an 80% in all four areas, you get the badge.
