AIAG Quality Steering Committee Welcomes New Member: Lear’s Toni Hollis

The AIAG Quality Steering Committee (QSC) is pleased to welcome Toni Hollis as its newest member! With more than 25 years of manufacturing experience, Toni brings a wealth of knowledge in quality management systems, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership.

As Senior Global Quality Systems Manager at Lear, Toni’s role supports driving continuous improvement across the organization, successfully leading corporate internal and external audits as she coaches the team in sustaining a robust quality management system. She also presented for two consecutive years at the AIAG Quality Summit, discussing "Quality Effectiveness & Efficiency - Why Aren’t Our Audits Driving Change?” and "Disruptive Quality: Next Level Thinking” in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Building on her previous experience with AIAG as a member of our Supplier Product Assurance Work Group (2019-2022), Toni is eager to leverage her skills and expertise to help the QSC address new challenges and advance key standards. From identifying and analyzing industry trends to sharing best practices for implementing and managing quality systems, Toni’s contributions will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the committee and automotive industry as a whole.

Why do you think it’s important to come together at AIAG and participate in events or volunteer for other activities? 

I have learned that joining AIAG events helps you shape industry standards and build valuable connections. It's a great way to grow professionally and solve industry challenges together. You get a network of likeminded individuals working together on creating best practices.

How do you keep up on what’s new in the automotive/mobility industry?  

I try to stay updated by reading industry reports, attending conferences, and joining professional associations, like AIAG's Quality Steering Committee. I also take online courses to keep my skills sharp.

What current or emerging automotive/mobility trends do you think are most urgent to prepare for?

Given the increased focus on AI, it is important to understand the rise of electric vehicles and autonomous driving technologies. Connectivity and sustainability are also key trends shaping the industry's future.

What advice would you offer those just starting out in automotive/mobility?

Find your passion; and be sure to follow that by engaging within the industry and pursuing relevant education. Gain hands-on experience, stay curious, and actively build your professional network by following AIAG and other automotive associations.
