Our Final Two-Day USMCA Training for 2024 Kicks Off Mid-October!

Written by AIAG | Sep 12, 2024 12:58:51 PM

With the USMCA officially replacing NAFTA in 2020, the automotive industry has been significantly affected by dramatic rule changes, including an increase in overall value content requirements, introduction of the Labor Value Content (LVC) requirements, and new categories and requirements for automotive parts.

In response, AIAG's two-day USMCA Content Reporting course — now with more convenient hours, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day provides an in-depth review of the Rules of Origin (including industry-relevant examples), along with detailed discussions on:

  • Core, Principal, and Complementary Tables for Passenger Vehicles, Light and Heavy Trucks, how to identify when to use the tables, and how to calculate RVC (Regional Value Content)
  • The step-by-step qualification process to qualify your goods as USMCA eligible
  • Specific terms with examples (e.g. de minimus, intermediate goods, averaging, etc.)
  • Origin Certification, including required data elements and an industry-developed certification template

Attendees also receive a comprehensive handbook with detailed qualification examples to use for future reference.

Designed to (ideally) be taken after our HTS Harmonized Tariff Schedule Overview training and with an associated discount for taking both sessions in close proximity — now's the time to secure your spot for our last live virtual session of 2024, this October 14-15.
