As quality manager for Specialty Products Company, Ryan is responsible for organizing and managing internal and external audits to maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016. He drives supplier development by reviewing external procedures for both their international and domestic supply chain, and aids them in problem solving and standards development, while also supporting both internal and external continuous improvement efforts.
With manufacturing experience across multiple industrial sectors – including energy and defense – Ryan looks forward to sharing his diverse background with the AIAG Quality Steering Committee (QSC), and contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of industry standards.

Why do you think it’s important to come together at AIAG and participate in events or volunteer for other activities?
I fully believe the collaboration between the diverse backgrounds of the members of AIAG provides amazing insight as well as fostering new ideas and methods. This allows for the sharing of best practices and will propel the industry as a whole, with all tiers of the supply chain included.
How do you keep up on what’s new in the automotive/mobility industry?
I read various publications and newsletters while also depending on my sales team to provide insight as to what they are seeing out on the road at trade shows and events.
What current or emerging automotive/mobility trends do you think are most urgent to prepare for?
Automation throughout all facets of the manufacturing process and how to maintain quality during the transition and implementation.
What advice would you offer those just starting out in automotive/mobility?
Take the time to fully understand all aspects of the product you are working with.
