In today’s uncertain world, companies are increasingly confronted with global supply chain disruptions – requiring industry professionals to work on the front lines to recover supply chains. Bringing a supply chain back to its pre-disruption state, however, is not necessarily the end of the story.
To gain insights into managerial decision making following an automotive supply chain disruption, the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at the Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business is seeking input via a brief (approximately 15 minute) online study. This study asks respondents to play a purchasing manager’s role in a hypothetical supply chain disruption scenario.
Results from this initiative – which respondents can request at the end of the study – will be used to understand the reasons behind some interesting and prevalent, but non-intuitive, post-disruption situations and behaviors, and help our industry prepare for the next supply chain disruption. Respondents will also have a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card as a “thank you!” for participating. (At least one card will be awarded at random for every 100 participants.)
