Prior to joining the QSC in 2025, Toni collaborated with the AIAG Supplier Product Assurance Work Group (2019–2022) and shared her expertise at several annual Quality Summits — including our most recent in 2025, where she explored how to maximize organizational value through strategic insights from quality system audits.
At Lear, Toni continues to play a key role in driving continuous improvement, leading internal and external audits, and coaching teams to sustain a robust quality management system.
As she moves into the AIAG QSC co-chair position, Toni is eager to bring fresh energy and vision to the group — tackling new challenges and facilitating positive change for 2026 and beyond.
Explore our recent Q&A below to learn more and hear from Toni herself on this next step.
How do you envision your new role as co-chair contributing to the group’s overall mission and goals?
I am honored and pleased to co-chair the AIAG Quality Steering Committee along with Ford’s Alisha Punjabi. Working closely together, we will develop and support future planning initiatives for key AIAG events and work groups, aligning our efforts to meet the critical needs of the automotive sector.
From your time with the committee so far, what experiences or lessons learned will be most valuable in your new position?
My experience on the AIAG Quality Steering Committee has shown me how action-driven platforms create insights into supporting customer satisfaction and mitigating potential supply chain risks. These lessons will be catalysts for 2026, critical to not only preventing new issues but driving forward-thinking strategies and stronger execution.
What key priorities or industry challenges should the committee focus on as we move into 2026 and beyond?
A unified voice is powerful in driving change. Our top priority is supporting industry standards that impact both OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers as they face the challenges of economic uncertainty, the need to maintain and enhance product quality, and listen to the voice of the customer (VOC).
What approaches or strategies will you use to foster collaboration and drive the committee forward?
The best way to foster collaboration is to build strategic partnerships within the steering committee, ensuring every voice is heard. Defining where we are, where we want to go, and who will help us get there will help drive the committee forward. With strong leadership from OEMs and Tier 1suppliers, I’m confident we can achieve our goals.
