AIAG was founded nearly 40 years ago by Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors – joined shortly after by Honda, Nissan, and Toyota – as a place where industry could come together in a neutral, collaborative, and legal environment to solve issues common to the automotive supply chain.

Membership has since expanded to include the latest innovators in Automotive, EV, Autonomous, Military, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment, Electronics, Semiconductors, and more. OEMs, suppliers at all tiers, service providers, government agencies, and universities work collaboratively to improve product quality, drive supply chain efficiencies and promote social and environmental responsibility.
