What stands out as your most impactful experience or contribution during your time with the committee?
What stands out is being able to use my corporation’s (NXP) SME expertise to help AIAG update the Core Tools manuals to include many of the items the highly automated industries use to control processes – especially in SPC and Control Plan manuals.
What industry trends or issues should this committee focus on in the future?
I believe it is very important that AIAG work with leading-edge corporations to define and set the standards for artificial intelligence in the automotive industry. This should be evaluated not only in documentation, but also regarding the potential use of AI in quality and manufacturing.
How has volunteering at AIAG impacted your career?
NXP Quality upper management completely backs my involvement with AIAG, seeing this as a way to influence the overall industry using knowledge from the highly automated/process control mindset of the semiconductor industry.
What’s next? Any personal or professional plans you’d like to share?
I’m looking forward to being involved with the update to IATF16949 and being a part of the Systemic Response Team going forward.
