As the automotive industry grapples with new realities introduced by the spread of COVID-19, the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) is discussing the impact with respect to prioritizing the safety and well-being of those involved with IATF 16949 certification scheme.

In response, the IATF recently released a document titled, “IATF Global Waivers and Measures in Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19).” This document – initially published on March 27, 2020 – will be regularly updated to include the industry’s latest information regarding IATF 16949 certification extensions, nonconformity management and auditor assignments.
