As expectations for responsible sourcing intensify, the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) has released Version 2.0 of its Due Diligence Reporting Template (DDRT)—a standardized, no-cost tool for suppliers to address forced labor risks across the supply chain.
Beginning September 2025, participating OEMs will request DDRT reports from select suppliers, with broader adoption expected by mid-2026. This shift is driven by new global regulations and heightened enforcement in the U.S., EU, Canada, and the UK. Recent U.S. Customs data highlights the urgency: just 4% of detained automotive and aerospace shipments have been released this year.
