AIAG and Wayne State University continue their successful collaboration with the 9th Annual Auto Industry Certificate in Purchasing & Supply Management. The course offers a winter session from February 10-May 12, 2022 (live virtual) and a winter session from September 1-December, 2022 (live virtual and face-to-face, if safe). The winter in-person sessions will be held at the AIAG Headquarters in Southfield, Michigan.

The course is a non-degree certificate program designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of supply chain topics and issues in the context of the global auto industry. Participants will learn about supply chain management strategy, finance, forecasting, negotiations, procurement, and supplier development, as well as exploring new manufacturing and logistics technologies.

The program is taught by a combination of supply chain academia and industry professionals, and include a mixture of lectures, classroom discussion, tours, and simulations. It is intended for candidates from OEM, Tier 1, sub-tier, 3PL, service, and carrier organizations. Successful candidates must attend at least 85% of all sessions, satisfactorily complete a project, and participate actively in class discussions.

The two organizations are also sponsoring a transformative experience called Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, described as an interactive, executive-level development program centered on supply chain business leadership and with an emphasis on supply chain strategy, tactics, and tools. The program is designed to help organizations develop their high-potential middle and senior supply chain positions. It will be available beginning in Spring 2022.
