New Forced Labor/Human Rights Webpage Now Available!

human rights global - blog

As our industry continues to evolve and expand, it’s become more critical than ever for companies to establish comprehensive human rights due diligence. Along with a growing, global demand to uncover all human rights abuses within the supply chain, recent and emerging legislation in both the U.S. and EU has also increased – further emphasizing the necessity of identifying and addressing these violations.

In response, AIAG has convened a Forced Labor/Human Rights Ad Hoc Group with experts in both customs trade compliance and sustainability, and created a new Forced Labor/Human Rights webpage to raise awareness of these issues and provide related education.

Current webpage resources include a presentation on the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, webinars on the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, U.S. Department of Labor tools and information, and more – along with a link to our “CTPAT - AEO Supply Chain Security Compliance” page (in light of CTPAT requirements to combat forced labor).

Whether you’re looking to familiarize yourself with the latest forced labor legislation, learn more about our ad hoc group, or simply explore related resources and information, this page is the place to start.
