Guideline for Returnable Transport Items (RTIs) Identification: Created by members of the Joint Automotive Industry Forum (JAIF) – made up of AIAG, JAMA/JAPIA and Odette – this updated document defines the data carrier selection, data structure, and storage of data for RTIs. Now updated to version 3 with numerous editorial changes and additions to enhance clarity, this global guideline is intended to enable international traceability and recycling of RTIs and facilitate processes such as customs clearance.
Global Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Item Level Standard: This newly revised publication describes best practices, processes, and methods for item identification, verification, traceability, product characteristics, and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) throughout the global automotive supply chain. Originally published and regularly updated by a global committee of experts, this standard is based on ISO and GS1 standards and recommends the basic features of data carriers as applied to an item, product, part, component, module or assembly.
