If not, now is the time to check out AIAG’s newest eLearning, Essentials for Transition to IATF 16949:2016, which allows you to explore changes in the new standard without ever leaving your desk.

The eLearning walks you through a fictional scenario based on actual events: you are an external auditor at an automotive supplier’s location. Audit background, including the company’s scope and quality manual are reviewed, and then the audit begins.

The entire standard is available via split screen during the eLearning, and each section contains multiple choice, matching, and essay questions so you can gauge your progress. The online training concludes with a review of the IATF 16949:2016 standard with an emphasis on the changes.

While the eLearning is not intended to replace formal auditor training, it’s a great resource for self-study, and as a primer for future training.
