On February 17, 2023, the Ministry of Economy published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOF) an administrative regulation prohibiting imports of goods produced with forced labor. The regulation will become effective on May 18, 2023.

When Tonya Vanover attended her first AIAG event several years ago, she never imagined she would one day work for the organization. As AIAG’s new program manager for sustainable supply chain logistics, Vanover brings a unique perspective to the role because she has worked as an OEM and on the supplier side. Prior to accepting this position with AIAG, Vanover was senior buyer — global purchasing and supply chain for General Motors.

While interest in environment, social, and governance (ESG) has grown over the past few years, so has confusion around the term. It’s often used interchangeably with other business frameworks like sustainability, (corporate social responsibility (CSR), and environment, health, and safety (EHS).
